We did it!

We linked hands and circled the building on June 11, 2009 as a reward for our students meeting our growth goals for the End of Grade testing.

 

 
Trash for Cash Winners! - Mrs. O'Brien's K Class

Students in Mrs. O'Brien's kindergarten class won the PTA Trash for Cash contest by sending in the most Boxtops4education, Campbell's Labels for Education  and Tyson A+ labels.  Try and save as many as you can all summer long and send them in August to help our PTA. And try out these other easy ways to support our school too!

Their prize was a fun filled Treasure Hunt!

 
Colin Bootman Visits

On May 12th  Colin Bootman visited with our 4th graders. His illustrations have appeared in dozens of children's books, have been exhibited in art shows and are part of many private collections.  His visit was sponsored by the Durham County Public Library.  During his visit he signed our library's copy of one of his books, Dad, Jackie, and Me, which was a North Carolina Picture Book of the Year Nominee in 2007.
